A Dinner and Auction for a Noble Cause - June 22

Picture it…a beautiful June evening at the pool. Friends, laughter, delicious food, live jazz, and items up for bid!

Friendly Park Swim & Tennis members (and their guests) are invited to join us on Saturday, June 22, from 6-9 p.m. as we raise money for the American Cancer Society in our annual Swim for Cancer dinner and silent auction. 

Friendly Park Swim & Tennis was Greensboro's top fundraising team last year for Swim for Cancer and we're out to repeat that amazing accomplishment.

Dinner will be a selection of heavy hors d'oeuvres and dessert from Peppermoon Catering, with gluten free and vegetarian options available. Adults (21+) can purchase beer or wine, graciously donated by Little Brother Brewing and Kerrie Orrell, respectively. 

RSVP here via our Signup Genius by Thursday, June 19, if you plan to attend! Adult tickets are $35 per person. We will accept credit card payment via the American Cancer Society App, checks (payable to the American Cancer Society), and cash.

Children are more than welcome! Along with adult dinner choices, there is a kid's meal available that includes pizza, lemonade, and dessert for just $5. The pool will be open for the kids with lifeguards on duty!

As a special addition this year, you can sponsor one of 50 luminaries in honor of a loved one who has fought or is fighting cancer. Luminaries can be sponsored for $5 each. You will be able to put your loved one's name on the luminary to be displayed at our dinner auction. Sign up in advance for a luminary on Saturday, June 15, at the Swim for Cancer car wash or the team "fun meet." We also will keep a signup sheet at the pool office for the week leading up to the event. 

If you want to contribute to the success of the evening but won't be able to attend, consider a donation to the silent auction! Great ideas include: summer gear, tickets to events, a stay at a vacation location, services or lessons, or gift cards for restaurants.
