Labor Day Festivities and a Change in Operations

It can't really be the end of summer, can it?

Friendly's 2025 pool season concludes on Monday, September 1, but not before we celebrate with an artistic swim performance and our annual BBQ! We provide the meal while you bring/buy drinks from the snack bar. 

Food will be served following an artistic swim performance that starts at 4 p.m. and a brief membership meeting to elect new board officers. 

Schedule for Labor Day Festivities

  • 4 p.m.: Artistic Swimming performance with a theme of "One Hit Wonders"
  • 4:40 p.m.: General Membership Meeting with updates by board president Jennifer Buckley and formal election of new board members
  • 5 p.m.: Line forms for catered Labor Day BBQ
  • 5:20 p.m.: Food will be served.
  • 8 p.m.: Pool closes for Summer 2025

Look for details in the months ahead on possible movie nights, winter ice skating, and a spring egg hunt. 

Important Changes in Pool Operations

  • Starting Monday, August 25, the Erin Harris Pool at Friendly will close at 8 p.m. every night through Labor Day.
  • Due to staff availability as lifeguards return to school, guests will be prohibited during the work week (Monday through Friday). 
  • The snack bar will only serve drinks, packaged snacks, and ice cream from opening until 5 p.m. A full menu will be available (while supplies last) from 5-7 p.m., and the snack bar will close at 7 p.m. Inventory at Friendly's snack bar will not be replenished before the end of the season.

Closing Out Your Snack Bar Accounts

NOW is the time to square up with the snack bar if you use an account to purchase food and drinks. Any negative balance will be added to your 2026 dues.
 
You should also spend down any existing credit (which will NOT carry forward into 2026).
 

Last Call for Lost & Found

 
There are still goggles, towels, water bottles, and more are waiting to be rediscovered by their owners! Stop by the Lost & Found near the entrance to the kiddie pool to claim what's disappeared over a season of fun for the family. ALL ITEMS will be donated or discarded after Labor Day.
