FRIENDLY PARK IS NEAR FULL CAPACITY  

There are a lot of new friendly faces this summer. Welcome to all our new members, and thank you to all our returning members for making Friendly Park such a special and welcoming community!

We only have a few memberships left, so tell your friends! Remember, members who refer a new member family will receive a $100 credit for their 2023 member dues.

PARKING

You may have noticed some mulch piles in our parking lot area where there were once trees. In the spring we removed these aging trees, and as recommended we’re using their stump grindings as mulch in order to prevent sinkholes.

By next summer we will be able to add more parking, but for now, please avoid parking over these piles. We’d hate for you to get stuck.

Also, the grassy field next to the lower lot is always open for parking, but please try and park in two parallel lines facing across from each other just as they do in the top lot. 

CHANGES TO GUEST POLICY

Effective July 1, 2022 guests of members will be charged an entrance fee regardless of their residence. Each membership will continue to be allowed up to five guests per day at the cost of $4 per person on weekdays, and $5 per person on weekends and holidays. Babysitters caring for children that are members will continue to be free. 

SWIM FOR CANCER

Help our Friendly Swim Team raise funds for the American Cancer Society's longest running fundraiser! Here are two easy and quick ways to help:

Friendly Park Merchandise

Friendly has partnered with a vendor to sell our own Frog merchandise online. Friendly Park receives 10% of each sale, which will in turn be donated for Swim for Cancer!

Save the Date!! Swim for Cancer Dinner and Auction - Sunday, June 26 at 6 p.m.
Catered by Natty Greene's and our own John Drees, owner of Southern Lights Bistro. Sign Up Genius will be coming out soon for members to make their dinner choices.

ADULT LAP SWIM

Adult lap swimming is available Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:00-8:00 am and Saturdays 7:30-8:30 am during June, July, and August. A lane is also available for lap swimming every evening between 6:00-9:00. Ask a life­guard for assistance with a rope.

LOST & FOUND

Think you left something at Friendly? Check out the lost & found area located inside the gated baby pool area, against the wall. Lost goggles are usually left in a bucket on a counter at the lifeguard desk.

RECYCLING

Yes, Friendly Park definitely cares about recycling. So much so that we’ve separated our trash bins (inside the pool gate) from our recycling bins (outside the pool gate).

Why? Because when we’ve had them together, our members would sometimes use them interchangeably and we would get fined by the city. If you’re fined too much, the city will stop the service. We don’t want that to happen and we don’t want our lifeguards (who are also our cleaning staff) to have to manually separate the contents in these bins.

So while it may take a few more steps, please take advantage of the recycling bins outside the pool gate. Thank you for understanding!
