A Memorial Day Cookout at the Pool Join us on Monday, May 26, for our annual Memorial Day cookout where we will serve burgers and hot dogs for pool members beginning at 12 p.m. (an hour after we open at 11 a.m.). Festivities go until the food runs out. All members will be given tickets for a burger OR a hot dog when checking in. If your last name starts with the letters A-M, please bring a potluck dessert to share! If your last name starts with the letters N-Z, please bring a side dish! Our new guest fee policy is in place for 2025; guests are now $10/person on premium holidays (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day), and passes must be purchased on that day. No pre-purchased discounted passes are accepted. Guest passes to the pool do not include meal tickets; meal tickets will be available at the snack bar for guests to purchase for $5 each. There is no rain date for this event. Cross your fingers for sun! In the Spirit of Memorial Day While we will celebrate friendships and the arrival of our summer pool season on Monday, we invite you to join us in reflecting on the purpose of the holiday weekend. Did you know that the Guilford County Veterans' Memorial in Country Park features more than 1,200 personalized bricks that honor men and women who have served in uniform? Each brick has been photographed and can be found in a searchable online database. We encourage you to spend a moment exploring the website in appreciation for the sacrifices of those who protected our freedom to gather as a pool community. |
