On Monday, September 1, as we conclude our summer swim season, Friendly Park's membership will vote in new members of the Board of Directors. Most roles are a commitment of at least one year with opportunities for continued involvement. We're now seeking nominations for:

• Vice President (a three-year commitment): You'll learn the ropes in 2026 from current vice president/president-elect Danny McCormick before assuming the role of president for the 2027 season, followed by service to the Board of Directors as immediate past president in the 2028 season.
• Treasurer: This key role maintains full and accurate financial reports. You'll present monthly financial reports to the board and prepare an annual budget report, and you'll assist with the annual budget process and ensure a budget is finalized by March 1 of each year.
• Membership: Serve as an ambassador of Friendly Park Swim & Tennis in this important position. You're the primary contact for membership inquiries, registration, and questions, and you meet with prospective members and offer pool tours. The membership chair also works with Friendly's bookkeeper to keep current and accurate membership records, which shape monthly membership reports. You also partner with the marketing director to develop strategies to attract and retain members.
• At-Large: At-large members contribute their expertise, guidance, and input on key decisions relevant to Friendly Park, Inc.’s current mission and objectives. In this role, you'll perform tasks aligned with a specific skill set as needed. Based on the current composition of the board as well as upcoming projects, we are looking for at-large members with legal backgrounds, financial backgrounds, backgrounds in insurance, and/or construction knowledge.

The Board of Directors convenes monthly throughout the year, typically (but not always) on the third Sunday of the month, with meetings that usually run anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes.

Membership votes on new board members during Friendly Park's annual business meeting that immediately follows the artistic swimming performance on Labor Day.
